It is now possible for iPhone app developers to port their apps to the Mac. Apple has decided to go full-court press with iOS and macOS integration. Sidecar allows you to use your iPad as a second screen, and drawing tablet. SidecarĪnother one of the more interesting new features is Sidecar. It always seemed hard to find and very UN-Apple. Hallelujah! Why they did not do this in the first place, or at least soon after, is beyond me. That’s right, in the same place as all your other files and folders. I think we can figure out which is which.īut of special note is that if you were in the habit of sharing files to and from your iPhone and iPad, you now do so in the Finder. In it’s place are separate applications: Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Podcasts. So I think it’s ok to say goodbye to an old friend. I would say that at about the same time that Apple disallowed opening of separate windows a few years ago was when the writing was on the wall: this thing is too huge to be contained.
